New PSP Bundles Set to Take Over Japan

Sony recently announced several new PSP bundles. Two are bundled with games – both Monster Hunter Portable 3rd and Dissidia 012 [Duodicem] – and one is aimed more toward the female demographic, featuring a soft pink PSP and accessories (because, you know, women love accesories!). Let’s take a look at all three, which, by the way, are highly importable, even if they don’t come out over here in North America. Hit the break to check them out.

We’ll get the pretty pink one out of the way first, how about that? This bundle is obviously aimed toward Japanese women, and includes a boat-load of accessories – a carrying case, 2GB memory card, ear buds, a matching cleaning cloth and all the typical cables that usually come with the hardware. Unfortunately for the ladies, there is no mention of a packed-in game.

The next bundle is actually two different varieties for the same game, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd. Both these are dubbed the “New Hunter’s Pack”, but one comes with a black and red PSP (similar to the God of War: Ghost of Sparta pack released over here a few months back) and the other includes a blue and white PSP. They both are packaged with a copy of the game – as if the title needed more sales, right?

Finally, for Final Fantasy fans, we have a special Dissidia 012 [Duodicem] PSP, which will be released along side the game when it comes out on March 3rd in Japan. This bundle is dubbed “Chaos & Cosmos”, and features a standard silver PSP etched with artwork from the game.

So, is anyone a special edition PSP collector? Are you going to import any of these? Can we see any of them coming to North America? Don’t hold your breath.
