We've got a huge batch of new screenshots as well as details for the two Resident Evil games headed to the 3DS. These games look absolutely incredible and it's almost hard to believe that these are from a handheld title! The first game is Resident Evil Revelations which has Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield teaming up again to investigate a stranded cruise liner.

Next up is Resident Evil Mercenaries 3D, which as the title may give away is a stand-alone version of the popular Mercenaries game mode. Featuring re-mastered levels from RE4 and RE5 and featuring solo as well as Co-Op, this is the same Mercenaries you know and love for the most part. Players can choose from Chris Redfield, Hunk, Krauser, and for the first time in Mercenaries, Claire Redfield is playable!

As the fandom rejoices from that last bit, they've also been crying foul with claims of "Ruined Forever" at this next bit of news; in RE: Mercenaries 3D you can move and shoot at the same time. This clearly just makes the game another typical shooter, and takes away the last bit of what makes a Resident Evil game. Never mind the characters and story, what defines a Resident Evil game is poor archaic control restrictions and nothing else.

Check out the huge gallery of screen shots in the gallery after the break, and chime in! Is Resident Evil ruined by letting you move and shoot, or do you agree with me that this is just what the series needed? Note that this ability is only being added to Mercenaries 3D and not Revelations.
