New Screenshots from Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS Show Off Andross, Cuccos, and Pokemon’s Lumiose City

While fans anxiously await for any tidbits or news pieces that come for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS, game director Masahiro Sakurai continues to provide his “Pics of the Day” to show brief glimpses at the game’s progress toward release this year.

The latest roundup of screenshots from both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game includes plenty of gameplay from the upcoming titles, along with even more glimpses at some of the items, characters, and stages we can expect to see in the latest installments. Brief looks at the screenshots show off Star Fox‘s Andross (presumably an Assist Trophy or stage hazard), new items from Kid Icarus Uprising, and a more detailed look at the upcoming Lumiose City stage from Pokemon X & Y.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS will release later in 2014 – in the meantime, you can check out all of the latest screenshots from both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game below:
