New SkullGirls Story Mode Trailer is Unbelievably Awesome

on February 3, 2012 8:00 PM

Today the PlayStation Blog was updated with a rather detailed post about the upcoming fighting game SkullGirls. This trailer lets a few details of the game’s story loose, and also gives us what I believe to be our first look at the game’s story mode. As you can see, it appears to make use of art and text in a visual novel style similar to the BlazBlue and Guilty Gear series. I am really feeling the theatrical posters for all the girls. So Classy. Aside from the trailer, the blog also reveals a few of the game modes and features that will be included in the game upon launch.

These are: Arcade, Story, Tutorial, Practice, and Online Ranked/Free play. Additionally, the game will feature custom soundtracks as well as PS3 exclusive trophies. Actually, although the p0st was made to the PS blog, not too many details about PS3 exclusive features were given. Since it has Q1 release date, we don’t have too much longer to wait for SkullGirls to launch, so hold your horses. The fantastic story mode trailer should hold you over for now.
