New Sleeping Dogs Trailer Knows Gun Fu

Martial Arts are the foundation of combat in Sleeping Dogs, but Wei Shen will definitely be able to pick up guns and wreak lead-powered havoc between his enemies. Today Square Enix released a new trailer to demonstrate just that.

The video showcases, besides the inordinate amount of explosions and assorted violence that you can easily expect, the game’s Aggressive Cover system, that triggers slow motion every time our undercover cop vaults over an obstacle.

It also show the same bullet time effect that will come into play when we’ll shoot from a moving vehicle. Personally, I consider it a Godsend, as in every game that puts driving and shooting together, I inevitably found the real-time mechanic extremely frustrating. Hopefully the implementation of slow motion will allow me to enjoy that kind of gameplay for the first time.

You can check out the trailer below.
