One of the most aticipated features of the upcoming 1.2 update of Star Wars: The Old Republic is the Legacy system, an innovative mechanic that will allow players to form family ties between their alt characters in order to unlock several kinds of advantages.

Today BioWare released a new trailer showing off the system and exploring what it means to players. Want to play a Sith Pureblood Smuggler or a Chiss Jedi? That won’t be much ¬†of a problem soon.

My Sith Juggernaut and my Jedi Guardian are already twins in their roleplay, and I know Megan has established brotherly family ties between her characters as well. It’ll be nice to be able to actually see that reflected in game and to gain advantage from it.

What kind of legacy will you create? While you think about it (if you didn’t already) you can check the trailer below.
