A new story trailer has been published for Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter. It focuses on Holmes’ relationship with his daughter Katelyn and the changes to his character from the cold, calculating detective we know. The developer addresses these changes in a PlayStation Blog post, and also explain some changes to the game world as well.
A cold and “old school”‘ Holmes can work really well when it comes to playing a detective who is manipulative and/or unfeeling. This time around, though, we wanted him to be open to emotion. We needed a character who was a credible father. Clumsy — OK, but still loving.
Developer Frogwares studio promises the game will still feature the deductions Holmes is known for, but that the world will be more than “just a stage prop: it acts and reacts.” You can view the trailer below, as well as some new images.
