New Super Mario Bros. Wii Clears 10 Million Sold Copies

Nintendo has announced that their Wii exclusive hit New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold more than 10 million copies.

This figure presumably refers only to copies sold in North America, as the worldwide sales figure for the game is supposedly considerably higher, since its release in 2009. The announcement, made via Twitter, came with a celebratory image:

This is a staggering amount of copies for an exclusive to move, even if it is exclusive to the best selling home console of the last generation.
