New Super Mario Bros Wii Is Fastest Selling Wii Game In Japan

Surprised? Nope, you shouldn’t be. New Super Mario Bros.Wii continued to sell like hotcakes in Japan, going to become a sensational hit and selling well over 3 million copies in just seven weeks. It seems that the Japanese have a thing for the little tubby Italian. Famitsu reports that Nintendo’s latest Mario game is the third Wii title to sell over three million units. The other two? Wii Sports and Wii Fit.

Whoever doubt the sales of a Mario game should seriously get checked out for mental instability. Everyone loves the pudgy little man as he is an iconic figure in gaming. You could slap Mario’s face on a carton of milk, and I’d bet the thing sells like imported Columbian cocaine in 80’s Miami. Mario is just that awesome.
