New TERA Trailer Asks if You Are a “MMO-FO”. Makes Fun of Everyone Else.

The opening of the preorder campaign was not the only surprise En Masse Entertainment had in store for us today, as they released the first of the “MMO-FO” series of TERA trailers, starring mixed martial arts legend Bas Rutten, as he gives a poor fake wizard a beating with a sadistic grin on his face.

The message is quite clear and aggressive, actually spelled out rather openly in the description of the trailer itself:

Welcome to the MMO-FO movement. We reject boring, easy-mode, childish MMORPGs. We hate no-skill tab targeting, repetitive attack rotations, and mindless grinding. We want a game that requires player skill, a game that rewards mastery, and a game that actually challenges us. That game is TERA.

En Masse seems to believe that they are Bas Rutten and everyone else in the MMORPG market is the scrawny fake wizard. Do you agree?

You can check out the trailer below, while I meditate on the fact that I finally wrote a post about Tera that doesn’t feature sexy bombshells in super-skimpy “armor”. Good times…
