Atlus has released a new Japanese TV commercial today for Shin Megami Tensei IV, which shows off more gameplay and animated cutscenes. Shin Megami Tensei IV is coming for the 3DS on July 16th for North America.

The video, while short, does show off more of the beautiful animation, as well as the protagonist crawling through dungeons and fighting enemies. It also reiterates one of the main themes of the game (and the series in general): the idea of two main factions (angels and demons) and the main character given the choice to align with either of them–or taking the neutral route. The wait for SMT IV is agonizing but hopefully will be worth it once it comes to the States.
