I'm a big fan of Vannilaware's last title, Odin Sphere, which delighted our PS2s a couple years ago.  With the same gorgeous art direction comes their latest effort - Muramasa: The Demon Blade.  This game gets its title from the famous sword-smith, Muramasa Sengo.  It is believed that he became violently insane and infused his anger and attitude into the swords he created and that those traits would pass along to the ones who would go on to bear those swords.

The game follows two characters, the fugitive Kisuke, who can't recall what he did and the young princess, Momohime.  There are an incredible amount of swords to collect as you follow these characters through various areas of ancient Japan.  Those locations are the highlight of this new video.  I'm a bit jealous though.  This is one time I actually wish I owned a Wii.  Maybe I'll have to sneak into my sister's room and lift her's when she's sound asleep.  I think this game will be worth it.  Muramasa: The Demon Blade adds some style to the Wii when it hits North American shores on September 8.
