New Video Shows the Gaming Wet Dream of All Star Wars Fans, Born from a Gundam Arcade Game

Disney Interactive released a new video showcasing Star Wars: Battle Pod, developed in collaboration with Bandai Namco and offering an unprecedented Star Wars flight experience in “select arcades” thanks to a dome screen that wraps around the player.

The technology was actually developed for an Gundam arcade game, and more precisely Gundam: Senjou no Kizuna, that is quite popular in Japan (and that is actually a whole lot of fun, based on the hands-on time I had with it).

The video, which you can enjoy below, has the developers explain how the concept was turned into the finished product within a collaboration between America and Japan.
