New Video Uncovers a Ridiculous Mario Easter Egg Hidden in Dying Light

After already proving to be a popular title amongst Twitch streamers and YouTube users, the zombie-action title Dying Light also has had a large number of secrets and Easter eggs hidden throughout its zombie-torn location of Harran, including the latest one that includes a hilariously-grim homage to Nintendo’s Italian Plumber himself.

In a new video posted by YouTube channel Arekkz Gaming, the video uncovers a oddly-grim version of the opening World 1-1 level of Super Mario Bros., albeit a creepy, zombie-filled version of it.

After finding what mysteriously resembles one of the iconic green warp pipes inside of a chimney, players that hop inside will be taken to a blood-soaked version of Super Mario Bros. first level, that’s even filled with…well, I won’t spoil any more of the surprises, but you can see for yourself if you can’t wait to discover it on your own.

Dying Light is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC – you can check out the video of the special Mario easter egg hidden in the game, among the title’s many other secrets and easter eggs waiting:
