A new video surfaced on Compulsion Games' YouTube channel on Friday. If you don't know them, they're the developers behind the indie title We Happy Few.

The animation showcases a reporter arguing with some of the game's doctors that she's "not sick" and  that she has "taken her joy." The description for the video reads:

"What could the lady reporter have possibly done...or discovered?"

Could this short animation sequence hint at an upcoming plot or feature being added into the game?

We Happy Few is an open-world survival game that takes place around the 1960s in the English city of Wellington, Wells. After an alternate history following World War Two, the people of Wellington begin taking a drug called "Joy" to forget the unspeakable horrors they committed. The twist is this drug leaves its users weak-minded and vulnerable.

That's where you come in. You are a "Downer," you don't take your drugs and the people of Wellington will try and apprehend you if they figure out that you've stopped taking the drug. Your goal is simply to escape the city however you may want to do that.

You can check out the new animation below.

We Happy Few is available now in Early Access on Xbox One and PC for $29.99 USD.
