New Xbox 360 Shuts Down Before It Overheats

Small details of Microsoft’s redesigned Xbox 360 have been surfacing above the specifications that were mentioned with the announcement of the sleek looking console. The new Xbox 360, which comes equipped with the Valhalla chip, has an auto-shutdown feature which completely shuts down the console when its primary cooling vent is blocked, which will display a warning on screen, with the power button displaying the menacing and haunting mental image as shown in the picture above. A nice little feature to prevent the whole Red Ring of Death thing ahead of time. Microsoft has taken some safety precautions with this new Xbox 360. Horrah for one less potential way of getting RRoD!
