Today, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu included a four pages special on the recently teased new JRPG by Nippon Ichi Software, that was revealed as Yuusha Shisu. (that translates as The Hero Must Die.), and yes, the period is part of the title.

This new JRPG is actually a full remake by Shoji Masuda of a mobile game released in 2007. It will come with new visuals and gameplay elements.

The story is actually rather peculiar. The hero killed the demon king, but he was killed himself during the battle. Yet, the world is still in peril, and as such the gods grant the hero five more days to live, but demote him back to level 1.

During tose five days, he will have to make various choices and interact with different heroines (including the angel Urea and the princess Flora), leading to different endings.

Below you can see the first artwork and screenshots, showcasing the characters and a glimpse in gameplay. As usual remember that we're looking at magazine scans, so the quality isn't comparable to direct feed screenshots.

The Hero Must Die. is slated for a Japanese release exclusively for PS Vita on February 15th, 2016.
