During the financial call for investors and analysts related to the latest fiscal quarter, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot announced that the next Assassin’s Creed will come in the next fiscal year.

Guillemot also clarified that the new game will be based on Assassin’s Creed Unity‘s Technology, and that the publisher is confident about having learned from the mistakes and experience made with the previous title.

For those unfamiliar with the fiscal calendar, this means that the new Assassin’s Creed, rumored to be titled Victory, will come between April 1st, 2015 and March 31st, 2016. More information on the pipeline of new releases for the next fiscal year (which will probably include a more precise release window for the new AC game) is expected in May.

Guillemot also announced that the previously teased Assassin’s Creed movie has been greenlighted and is currently in production.
