So far Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Beta Testers had to suffer from withdrawals during weekdays, as the beta has been open just during weekends. Looks like that inconvenient situation has come to an end, at least for now, as the next closed beta date has been announced.

Testing will begin on July the 5th at 2:00 AM PDT (9:00 AM GMT), and unlike previous weekends no end date has been announced, meaning that we finally reached the much awaited moment in which Eorzea will be accessible 24/7, at least for a while.

In addition to the new date, we also learn that Square Enix will begin stress testing the duty finder (the game's own version of a dungeon finder), even if the system is still undergoing Q&A Testing, so it might not be implemented in time for Friday's opening of the floodgates.

Update: unfortunately it seems that we jumped the gun, as Square Enix just announced the end date of the beta, as explained here. It looke like we're still limited to weekends, at least for the time being.
