Next Xbox One Cloud Demo Will Show CPU, Latency, Bandwidth; Info on Online Requirement Coming Later

After the reveal that the impressive cloud destruction demo shown at Build was actually early work for the upcoming Crackdown game, many have been wondering when we’ll see more about it. The newly appointed head of the Xbox division Phil Spencer explained on Twitter that a new demo is already being planned.

From feedback next showing has to be tech showing specific bandwidth, CPU, latency etc. Team is working on demo plan.

Spencer also responded to a question about whether an internet connection will be required or not to play the game, but he mentioned that we’ll have to wait some more for a firm response.

We’ll discuss more about the game and this question as we get closer to ship date.

As an added bonus, he expressed his utmost respect for the folks at Platinum Games, who just announced the upcoming Xbox One exclusive Scalebound.

The cloud destruction demo we saw at Build was definitely impressive, and it’ll be nice to see some more raw data about the feature with the next demo. Of course the connectivity requirement remains a pretty relevant unknown, and hopefully we’ll get a clear answer on that soon enough.
