Nidhogg 2 Announced for PC; Coming 2017

Messhof announced Nidhogg 2 today. It will release in 2017.

Here is a list they provided to highlight some of the game’s features:

– Completely overhauled detailed environments and animations
– 10+ levels of fencing goodness Local and online multiplayer and tournament mode
– Play single-player against a series of AI opponents with occasional special challenge rounds
– New soundtrack featuring music by Mux Mool, Dose One, Daedelus and more!

More about the game will be revealed at TwitchCon, which takes place in San Diego this weekend. The game will also be playable at that event.

You can watch the announcement trailer and look at some screenshots of the game below. Nidhogg 2 is currently only slated for a PC release, but Messhof is interested in bringing it to other systems.
