Today, Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito announced that upcoming action RPG NieR: Automata has gone gold, meaning the game is finished, ready to be printed onto disc, and release on time.

According to Saito, NieR: Automata actually went gold awhile ago, but only now did he decide to tweet out about it because it's the trendy thing to do. He of course may be referring to the recent going gold tweets about games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Yooka-Laylee, NiOhand more.

NieR: Automata is set to launch in Japan for PS4 on February 23rd, in North America on March 7th, and in Europe on March 10th. A PC version of the game is still scheduled for this year, but currently has no release window.

If you can't wait that long to play PlatinumGames' latest work, then you might want to check out the game's demo, which is available right now worldwide. Or you may want to check out this newly announced Nier: Automata limited edition PS4. The choice is yours.
