Today, Square Enix announced that the PS4 version of NieR: Automata has surpassed 500,000 total shipments and digital sales just in Japan and Asian.

As you may remember, earlier this month -- April 4th --  Square Enix revealed that total shipments and digital sales had surpassed one million (this number includes PC sales), a number that has only continued to go up in the last three and half weeks.

As of the latest Media Create weekly charts, the game has passed 300,000 physical copies just in Japan.

As you may know, NieR: Automata launched for the PS4 initially only in Japan back on February 23rd, but then came to North America on March 7th and then to Europe on March 10th. Additionally, it then came to PC on March 17th. Notably, it is one of the best critically received games of the year.
