Today Square Enix announced that Yoko Taro's recently-released action-JRPG NierR: Automata passed a new sales milestone.

The game is now comfortably sitting on two million copies shipped adding up retail shipments and digital downloads worldwide on all available platforms.

To celebrate, the publisher released a lovely piece of artwork, that you can enjoy at the bottom of the post.

NieR: Automata is the fruit of the dream collaboration between Square Enix as a publisher (represented by Producer Yosuke Saito), Yoko Taro as Director, Akihiko Yoshida handling the character design, and PlatinumGames taking care of development, spearheaded by Takahisa Taura.

The previous sales milestone was achieved at the end of May, with 1.5 copies, but apparently the title is still selling steadily.

The game is currently available for PS4 and PC (via steam). If you're unfamiliar with it, you can read my own review. Recently, NieR: Automata protagonist YoRHa 2B was included among the characters showcased in a PS4 trailer from Taiwan.
