Ninja Gaiden Sigma 3 for PS360 Listed by Amazon France

Now this certainly looks promising. Online retailer Amazon France has added a new listing for a Ninja Gaiden Sigma 3. The game is listed for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Although it is unofficial, this listing suggests that Tecmo and Team Ninja will indeed be attempting to atone for the mediocrity of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Ninja Gaiden 3 with a full re-release. Past Sigma re-releases were slightly tweaked PS3 ports of the Xbox exclusive Ninja Gaiden titles.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 3 would probably be a slightly tweaked port of the Wii U exclusive Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge for, apparently, both the PS3 and Xbox 360. Such a release would certainly fall in line with Team Ninja’s previous statement that they wished to please all of the unhappy Ninja Gaiden 3 players. The prospect is quite curious, though, considering Nintendo is actually responsible for publishing Razor’s Edge.

I’d take this listing with a grain of salt and it’s definitely too early to tell (the game is apparently due in March of 2013), but the future is looking brighter and brighter for Ninja Gaiden fans disappointed with the third numbered series installment.
