Ninja Theory’s Next-Gen Consoles Unreal Engine 4 Tech Demo “The Beggar’s Opera” Leaked

Part of an Unreal Engine 4 tech demo for next generation consoles named “The Beggar’s Opera” appeared a while ago on the Ninja Theory official website, included in a demo reel, but today we can finally see it in its entirety. It was included in an artist portfolio found by Twitter user Superannuation.

Unfortunately the original page was hurriedly taken down, but it’s still partly visible thanks to google cache: we learn it’s an R&D project (basically a tech demo) for next generation consoles made using Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, UV Layout and an early version of Unreal Engine 4.

Our reader FrankieMazz also saved the video before it was removed, and you can check it out below.

It’s worth mentioning that while this is just a tech demo, Ninja Theory has been hiring for an AAA Unreal Engine 4 game, so this can be considered a sneak peek of what they can do with the engine.
