Nintendo Announces Summer 2016’s Play Nintendo Tour Schedule

on June 6, 2016 11:50 AM

Not to be outdone by Sony’s Road to Greatness Tour, Nintendo is planning on once again travelling from venue to venue this summer as part of the Play Nintendo Tour. Focusing on kid-friendly titles that came out in the previous years for Nintendo 3DS, the message of the tour is aimed at “family fun.” Specifically, the titles that Nintendo hopes to focus on include the following:

  • Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D
  • Yoshi’s New Island
  • New Super Mario Bros. 2
  • Kirby: Planet Roboboti
  • Yo-Kai Watch
  • Pokemon Omega Ruby
  • Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
  • Mario Kart 7

Strangely enough, unlike previous years Nintendo will not be showing off the Wii U, or any Wii U games. It is well known that Nintendo is already in the planning stages for the Nintendo NX transition — however, with E3 being focused on a Wii U title, I would have thought the tour would also follow that lead.

Either way, check out the schedule and locations for the Play Nintendo Tour below:
