Super Mario Maker launched for the Wii U earlier this month, giving fans a chance to create and download their own custom Super Mario levels. Today, Nintendo revealed that the game has sold over 1 million units worldwide. This feat adds to the over 310 million lifetime sales of the Super Mario franchise.

In addition, over 2.2 million courses have been created within the game. Nintendo estimated that these ‘fan-developed’ courses have been played a combined number of over 75 million times since the game’s launch.

Super Mario Maker is available now exclusively on Wii U.
