During Nintendo’s General Meeting of Shareholders, Creative Fellow Shigeru Miyamoto talked about E3, explaining why the NX Was not showcased, and the company’s plans for virtual reality.

Below you can read a translation of what he shared by Twitter user , reported by , who is attending the meeting.

Apparently, Nintendo did not want to incur in the risk of imitation by other companies if the console was showcased too early. This appears to tie in with what we heard recently about a “new idea” in the works for the platform.

The house of Mario is also working on Virtual reality, but apparently they seem to be aiming to a different approach compared to the headsets that have already been released or announced.
