Coming off the huge launch of the Nintendo Switch earlier this year and the continued support for its 3DS line of systems, Nintendo's E3 2017 Spotlight Presentation is about to kick off, and it could potentially be one of Nintendo's most interesting broadcasts in some time.

Nintendo's Spotlight for E3 2017 is kicking off today at 9am PT/12pm ET, and marks the company once again using a broadcast during the show to make its major announcements as opposed to a live on-stage conference.

Though we don't know exactly what's in store, it's easy to make a few guesses for what Nintendo may have up its sleeve for eager Switch and 3DS fans during the show. Safe bets are on a trailer or footage of the upcoming expansion content and DLC for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, some sort of new trailer or footage for July's Splatoon 2, and a big, big showing for Super Mario Odyssey.

However, there are a few out of left-field announcements that some might be expecting to happen today, such as confirmation of a Virtual Console library for the Switch that could debut later this year, or more hopeful announcements like a new Metroid title (it has to happen sometime, right? RIGHT?).

The Spotlight presentation is about to kick off - you can watch the livestream right here as it begins shortly, and stay tuned for all of the big news and reveals to appear on DualShockers as they are happening.
