Nintendo Is Hush-Hush About the NX Due to “an Idea” in the Works According to Miyamoto

on June 27, 2016 5:02 PM

Nintendo has been extremely secretive about its upcoming NX console, and according to Creative Fellow (that’s his official title, don’t shoot the messenger) Shigeru Miyamoto, there is a specific reason for that, as he told Associated Press.

“In terms of NX, there’s an idea that we’re working on. That’s why we can’t share anything at this point, and I don’t want to comment on the other companies. If it was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker.”

What could this “idea” be? Earlier rumors mentioned that Nintendo might have delayed the NX to implement virtual reality, but Miyamoto-san’s wording seems to be going in a different direction, even if we have no way to be sure.

As usual, we’ll have to wait and see.
