It hasn’t been a good week for Nintendo. During the holiday traffic Nintendo eShop practically came to a halt, resulting in an outage and a delay for the Western launch of Pokémon Bank. Now it appears that eShop is closed again.
Nintendo of America took to Twitter to urge North American users to wrap up any important purchases through the digital store before 4 p.m. EST.
eShop update: We’re making progress in restoring our global network. The Nintendo eShop will be available in North America until 4 p.m. ET.

While Nintendo of Europe resonated the same warning for their users,
Once again today we will temporarily close the European 3DS eShop between 10 pm and 10 am CET. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Nintendo will have “more updates soon” concerning the eShop’s status. Wii U, Wii, and DSi eShops will be unaffected.
