Nintendo Officially Announces Large-Screen DSi LL

A couple of days ago, I sat here and wrote something that we dubbed a “rumor” which consisted of Japanese newspaper Nikkei reporting that Nintendo was planning on releasing a new DSi which shows off larger 4″ screens. And guess what? Nikkei was spot on.

Nintendo has announced that the larger 4″ screens are indeed being release… in Japan, for now. The name of the newly announced version of Nintendo’s handheld is called the DSi LL, and it is hitting Japanese store shelves on November 21 for a decent price of ¥20,000 ($221).

If you glance at the image provided below, you’ll take notice of the significant difference in size when put up against the “older” DSi. It’s a pretty hefty jump in screen size and, I’m positive, that this will attract adults – I mean, seriously, everyone likes big things (That’s what she said).
