Nintendo Restructures Their Company to Explore Health Devices and Computer Software

on May 18, 2016 3:52 PM

According to a recent change in Nintendo’s Articles of Incorporation — the legal documents declaring and binding a company’s stated purpose and mission — the House of Mario will be looking to explore medical devices and computer software.

The documents listed reason for the new changes include “preparation for business diversification,” with no direct examples of what this may look like. Worth noting, “computer software” is likely different than “games” which has its own category.

This was not the only change in Nintendo’s Articles of Incorporation, however the other modifications dealt primarily with the corporate structure.
