While Nintendo Switch's upcoming Kirby game may not have an official name, it did just get a bevy of new screenshots and details to pad out from the trailer we saw earlier today.

Expectantly developed by series creators HAL Laboratory, the brand new Kirby title coming to Nintendo Switch will be a lot more in line with Nintendo 64's Kirby 64. A side-scrolling game, Kirby will have the Sword, Fire, Water, Bomb, Broom and more copy abilities that players will be able to modify with different elements to vary and power the abilities up.

As seen in the trailer, Kirby is able to recruit "helper" enemies by hitting them with hearts to help solve puzzles and attack. Hell, you can even give these helpers special abilities to accomplish any of those things.

Worth noting, the brand new Kirby game on Nintendo Switch offers up to four-player multiplayer. This can be done with either eight Joy-Con controllers in 4 Joy-Con Grips, or two Nintendo Switch's with four horizontal Joy-Con controllers.

The brand new Kirby game was a surprise announcement, with a trailer being showcased only earlier today. The screenshots below give flesh out the picture more for what players can expect in the action platformer.

Kirby (or whatever title the game ends up being) will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2018. Check out the gallery below:
