During the 20th Annual Credit Suisse Technology, Media, and Telecom Conference in Phoenix, Arizona today, Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. President Karl Slatoff offered his opinion on the Nintendo Switch, stating that the company is "very intrigued and excited" about the Kyoto-based manufacturer's latest hardware iteration.

When asked about what he thought in regards to the opportunities the Switch presented and whether or not the company would wait to see how it does, Slatoff replied by stating that although there's always an element of "wait and see," Nintendo is making a great effort to reach out to third party developers, which he thinks is "fantastic."

He went on to state that Take-Two has already announced that they're supporting the new console, and although they weren't going to announce anything today, the publisher is "very optimistic" and sees Nintendo as good partners to work with into the future.

Take-Two isn't the only publisher to offer Nintendo praise on the Switch today, as Electronic Arts Cheif Competition Officer Peter Moore reiterated that the power of Nintendo’s development studios and intellectual properties should never be underestimated, despite the fact that the house of Mario and Zelda had some rough times recently.

The Nintendo Switch will be available in March 2017. There will be a live streamed reveal on January 12 and subsequent private hands-on event on January 13 in New York City.
