Nintendo to Showcase Mario Kart 8 at WonderCon, Leaves PAX East in the Dust

Nintendo revealed in a new press release that it would be showcasing Mario Kart 8 and four other released and upcoming titles at WonderCon, which takes place on April 18-20 in Anaheim, California. The other four titles to be at the event are Mario Golf: World Tour, Disney Magical World, Kirby: Triple Deluxe and Yoshi’s New Island.

While I have nothing against WonderCon (although admittedly never heard of it until now), I wonder why Nintendo make the decision to show off Mario Kart 8 at that venue but skipped out on the much larger and more video game focused PAX East, especially since WonderCon’s main focus is on comic books, science fiction, and movies. No presence at PAX East this year was a major missed opportunity, honestly.
