Nintendo has announced that on December 20th Nintendo TVii will be launched for free on the Wii U and looks to change how content is viewed with the Wii U’s two screens.
Nintendo TVii looks to pulls on users’ current subscriptions and TV service provider’s content into a single hub that plans to change how and what users watch. There are also social features that allow Wii U owners to share what they are watching on Miiverse, Facebook, and Twitter. All of this can be done on the Wii U GamePad that allows for uninterrupted viewing.
The service looks to bring cable and satellite support on launch as well as integration with Amazon Instant Video and Hulu Plus. Netflix and TiVo subscribers will have to wait for integration in early 2013 but there is still the Netflix application on the Wii U for those subscribers.
Wii U owners have a ton to look forward to tomorrow when Nintendo TVii provides a unique way for consuming entertainment.
