With the confirmation that a successor to the Wii is on the way, it's time to get those old last gen systems into as many houses as possible before it's just a thing of the past. If you want to pick up a Nintendo Wii before it becomes an ancient relic like the NGage, it looks like your opportunity has come! Nintendo has officially dropped the MSRP of the Wii console down to $149.99, and made a slight change; rather than bundling the console with either Wii Sports or Wii Sports Resort, it will instead come with Mario Kart Wii and a streeing wheel accessory.

If you want to add more games to that starting collection (or to your existing one for the millions that already own a Wii), there's the new Nintendo Selects game line. Essentially a "Greatest Hits" lineup, it features The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers and Wii Sports for the low price of $19.99.

I personally think that while it's nice to have a Mario game finally bundled with the little system that could, the Sports games definitely make a greater starting point for the system. To each their own, either way you can now get the Wii for a little bit cheaper.
