Today Koei Tecmo released a brand new batch of direct feed screenshots of its upcoming PS4 exclusive NiOh.

First of all, the screenshots introduce four  historical characters that took part in the battle of Sekigahara. Fans of the genre and of Koei Tecmo's games will possibly be familiar with Tadakatsu Honda, Naomasa Ii, Magoichi Saiga, and Marume Nagayoshi.

Tadakatsu Honda and Naomasa Ii appeared plenty of times in previous Koei Tecmo games, including the Samurai Warriors series, Toukiden, Kessen, Warriors Orochi and more. Incidentally, Naomasa is also Naotora Ii‘s foster son.

We also get to see the Sekigahara stage, set around the famous battle that pretty much decided the end of the Sengoku Jidai on October 21, 1600. The game's protagonist William will fight among the 10,000 soldiers on a treacherous battlefield..

Incidentally, the Battle of Sekigahara will probably be a very important story point in the game, as it set the stage for the birth of the tokugawa Shogunate, and Ieyasu Tokugawa is a very important character among the historical ones portrayed by NiOh‘s story.

We also get to see two monstrous bosses, Karasutengu and Gashadokuro, that will also appear on the battlefield of Sekigahara.

If you want to see more about NiOh, you can check out a new trailer released just two days ago in 4K resolution, alongside a second cutscene featuring Ieyasu Tokugawa himself . If you prefer gameplay, you can also enjoy the recording of a recent livestream, showcasing the Kijo boss, the Futamata stage and more.

NiOh will release in North America on February 7th, published directly by Sony Interactive Entertainment. European gamers will have to wait until February 8th, while Japanese gamers  will get the game last, on February 9th.
