Today, Koei Tecmo showcased a large amount of gameplay of the upcoming NiOh story DLC titled "Defiant Honor," on top of providing news on the future of the game.

The gameplay was presented live by Directors Fumihiko Yasuda and Yosuke Hayashi. It starts at 00:20:05 showing the new tonfa weapon in action in one of the new levels. It culminates with a boss battle against Yukimura Sanada himself. If you want to avoid spoilers, you may want to just skip this part.

At the end of the livestream (at the 01:10:50 mark), we also get to see a new trailer for the DLC. Interestingly, it ends with what appears to be quite the tease.

We also learn that an online multiplayer tournament will be held in Japan starting on August 5th, presented by the local branch of ESL and PlayStation Plus.

Last, but definitely not least, a third story DLC has been announced. It will be titled "Genna Enbu," but no more specific information has been released for now. You can see the slide with the announcement  and logo of the DLC at the bottom of the post. All we know so far is that it'll be the last.

The "Genna Enbu," or "Genna Armistice" (also pronounced "Genwa Enbu") indicates the end of the period of strife and civil war centered around the Sengoku Era, that is also the focus of NiOh itself. It's certainly an appropriate title for the last DLC.

While we don't know for sure just yet, the DLC probably centers on what will happen to William during the Summer Campaign of the Siege of Osaka (the Winter Campaign is portrayed in Defiant Honor) or immediately afterwards as Japan shifts into a period of peace under the Tokugawa Shogunate, beginning with the Genna era, from 1615 to 1624.

You can check the video out below. The "Defiant Honor" DLC will be released exclusively for PS4  tomorrow, July 25th. If you want to see more, you can also check out the previous DLC “Dragon of th North”, and our review of NiOh, that is currently available on PS4.
