Today, developer Team Ninja announced via the PlayStation Blog that the second wave of DLC for its action-RPG, Nioh, is set to arrive on July 25th for the PS4.

Titled, Defiant Honor, the second DLC will take the player to Osaka Castle, the largest and most impregnable castle of Sengoku era. The add-on also features the legendary warrior Sanada Yukimura, Tokugawa Ieyasu’s archenemy Toyotomi clan, who values honor above all else.

Apparently tensions are brewing between the Toyotmi and Tokugawa clans, and thus Sanada Yukimura prepares his men for inevitable conflict against the Tokugawa’s forces by building a stronghold called the Sanada Maru on the outskirts of the Osaka Castle. With the castle fortified heavily, Tokugawa’s forces were faced with a difficult and bloody challenge.

So where do you come into play in all of this? Well apparently in the midst of all of this chaos, William, accompanied by Date Masamune who fights alongside Tokugawa, heads towards Sanda Maru in the purist of Maria. However, it is a bitter winter in Osaka, making the stage for battle all the more intense.

The DLC also comes with a new weapon Tonfa, new armor, new magic items, guardian spirits, and new Yokai and enemies to test your skills against.

Additionally, new difficulty levels and Trophies will also be packaged in, as well as legendary characters such as Sanada Yukimura, new stages, and a slab of new sub-missions.

Defiant Honor will be available for $9.99 USD via the PlayStation Store or free if you're a Season Pass holder.
