About a week ago Weekly Famitsu revealed the upcoming PS3 exclusive JRPG “Kamisama to Unmei Kakusei no Kurosuteze,” (shortened KamiKuro) translating to “The Cross-Thesis of the Awakening of God and Destiny,” and today Nippon Ichi delivered one of its lovely press release packed with info about the game, including artwork and screenshots in full resolution.

The game will be released in Japan on July 24th, and will cost 6,800 yen (tax excluded) for the standard edition, 8,800 for the limited edition and 6,171 yen (tax included) for the downloadable version. The collector’s edition will come with an artbook and the original soundtrack, that you can see in the gallery at the bottom of this post.

The game is defined as an “awakening of destiny Dungeon RPG” and is a direct sequel of The Guided Fate Paradox, set a few years after, and will expand on its story, even if it’ll feature a new protagonist and new characters. Noizi Ito and Yosei Teikoku will also reprise their roles as character designer and composer.

Today we also learn about the two heroines that will accompany the protagonist in his quest for godhood.

Jupiel Soraumi is his personal angel, She belongs to the Powers, and that makes her one of the strongest fighters in Heaven and also absolutely loyal to God. She’s a hard worker and has a serious personality. Her sister is an archangel, and Jupiel’s goal is to become like her.

Arle Agarie is a devil, but also the researcher that transformed the protagonist into God. Due to her research, she’s been given the privilege of free movement in Heaven. She’s very prideful and narcissistic, but she’s not very interested in the conflict between angels and devils. All she cares about is her research.

The protagonist gets involved into a battle between angels and devils, and is severely wounded. His life is saved by being transformed into God himself. The story revolves on his choice between Jupiel and Arle, that will influence the outcome of the game deeply, and the fate of the two heroines.

The selection will be made through the “Ultimate Choice,” that will appear at several stage through the game, often apparently unreasonable and capable to decide the life and death of those involved. This is the central theme of the title.

Compared to The Guided Fate Paradox a lot has been changed and improved. The new game will be in 3D instead of 2D, and the graphics will be greatly improved, together with the game mechanics. The RPG and combat systems will also be enhanced.

Below you can check out a gallery with all the assets released today.
