NIS America has given some tips and tricks for their upcoming bullet hell fighter Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet. The two characters focused on are Yuyuko Saigyouji, who first appeared as the final boss in the seventh Touhou Project title, Perfect Cherry Blossom, and Youmu Konpaku who was the Stage 5 boss in Perfect Cherry Blossom.

First is Yuyuko. Her unmodified attacks have two tracking, a large circular wave, and a front facing attack that spreads slightly as it travels. Modified by L1, her tracking attack is moved further, the circular wave becomes a set of rings that pulsate and then spread out in various arcs, and changes the front facing bullets into three beams. When modified by R1 they become quicker, one will track if it misses and do AOE damage. Some homing projectiles and charged attacks, which are more about small spots than covering the screen.

With Youmu you can create slices on the screen which will cause attack waves, this can be stacked six times. She also has a back-and-forth attack for mid-range. Her agility makes her great for dodging, as well as closing the gap between her and her opponent.

You can check out GIFs for each character’s various abilities below. The first three are of Yuyuko and the last two of Youmu. Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet comes to PlayStation 4 this September.
