The prospect of Persona 4 Arena in Europe has been clouded with disappointment thus far, but players anticipating the release of the game are about to get a bit of good news: a representative from Zen United, the game’s European publisher, has recently declared that there will not be many further delays before they announce the release date of the game. In an interview with Siliconera, the representative is quoted to have said:
It’s always our intention to keep the delay between US/JP and EU to a minimum and we appreciate people’s patience. We don’t have an official release date to confirm at this time, but we hope to be able to do so soon.
Although Persona 4 Arena is still slated to be region locked for Playstation 3 and XBOX 360, there is at least a silver lining in the fact that fans of the series will no longer have to suffer through further announcements of delays for the game’s release. No exact date has yet been determined, but Persona Arena 4 is slated for release in 2012. The European version will have the option to switch between Japanese and English, and there is a limited edition released anticipated in the EU, too.
Persona 4 Arena does have an official announcement from Atlus for a North American release – August 7, 2012.
