If you haven't played Suda51's latest game Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes and you want to keep the end of that game a surprise for yourself, then you may want to skip out on reading further into this article.

Still here? Okay then.

At the conclusion of Travis Strikes Again, the game ended with a brief tech demo of sorts showing off what Grasshopper Manufacture and was supposedly working on next. The game in question was clearly that of No More Heroes 3 and while this title of the game was never properly mentioned, it seemed to all but indicate that this is the next project that the studio is looking to take on.

Now, a mere week or so after release, Travis Strikes Again director Goichi "Suda51" Suda has spoken a bit more about the decision to add this Easter egg at the conclusion of the game and what it means for the future. Speaking to Game Reactor, Suda51 said that his intention with this No More Heroes 3 teaser was meant to emulate something similar to what the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) does in its own films. Suda51 went on to say that he wanted to send a clear message to fans so they opted to include that brief demo which Grasshopper had been using for R&D purposes. He went on to say via translation that "we're going to really work hard to make 3 come true."

So if there are actual plans for a No More Heroes 3 in the pipeline then when could we hear more about the game? Well, Suda51 seemed to tease that he could have something to say this coming June at E3 2019. The famed Japanese creator said that he'll be attending E3 in Los Angeles this year for the first time in quite awhile. Even though he didn't confirm anything outright, Suda51 says he's hoping to make "some kind of announcement there." In the interim, he says he and the rest of the team at Grasshopper will continue to work hard to meet fan expectations for what's next.

It seems incredibly likely that No More Heroes 3 is coming, the only question at this point deals with how far into development it is. Considering Travis Strikes Again just launched a few days ago, you'd have to imagine that any potential work done on NMH3 is sparse at best. Still, Suda51 seems to have no qualms about tipping his hand that NMH3 is what he wants to work on next. As for when that announcement will take place, I guess we'll have to wait until E3 2019 to potentially hear more.
