Psyonix has announced today that their free-to-play third-person multiplayer game, Nosgoth, is set to enter open beta next week on January 21st.
Nosgoth is set in the Legacy of Kain universe, pitting humans against vampires in asymmetric battles. Humans are focused on range combat and sticking close together to win battles by attrition. Vampires primarily focus on melee combat and agility, with the ability to scale the sides of buildings with ease, to hunt down and single out humans and drink their blood to recover health.
“Thanks to our highly dedicated and very passionate community, we’ve had an amazing journey so far,” said Corey Davis, Game Director of Nosgoth in an official statement. “Our goal for the open beta is to deliver a fun and engrossing metagame and we realize that working closely with our community is the best way for us to balance and deepen the experience going forward. We are thrilled to see what the future brings!”
A large matchmaking text that began in November has made the game finally ready for a larger audience to experience after spending the majority of 2014 in closed beta. Look forward to enjoying the open beta when it starts next week Wednesday for PC.
