Kazunori Yamauchi, the grand master of the Gran Turismo franchise, was on hand in Las Vegas recently as the Specialty Equipment Market Association, and was interviewed by IGN. In that interview, he basically gave a confirmation that Polyphony Digital is, indeed, working on Gran Turismo 6. The topic came up as he talked about his plans for the future of GT5 and its DLC, stating that things “we can’t update through a DLC is something that obviously has to be saved for GT6…things that we can provide through DLC we will.”
Gran Turismo 5, even though it felt like many lifetimes passed before the game actually released to the public, is probably one of the pinnacls of the console racing simulation scene. It’s likely Gran Turismo 6 will give the same pleasure to your grandkids, as they’re whirring through the sky on flying cars and populating the rest of the galaxy.
