NPD Results Are in: PS4 Wins Again, Despite Titanfall Topping Games; inFAMOUS: Second Son is Second

Like every month the market research firm NPD posted its monthly sales results, and those related to the month of March are definitely interesting considering the duel across platforms and genres between Respawn’s Titanfall and Sucker Punch’s inFAMOUS: Second Son.

According to NPD PS4 led hardware sales by an undisclosed amount, despite the fact that Titanfall was at the top of the software sales, followed by inFAMOUS and by South Park: The Stick of Truth. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes came in only sixth behind Call of Duty: Ghosts and Dark Souls II.

According to NPD analyst Liam Callahan. PS4 and Xbox One’s cumulative sales are already double the sales of their predecessors in the same time frame.

We stand by for the inevitable comments coming from Sony and Microsoft, and we’ll publish them as soon as they are disclosed.
