NYCC 11: The Secret World Interview with Ragnar Tørnquist

on October 18, 2011 2:30 PM

Our very own Al Zamora sat down (actually they were standing, but oh well..) with Ragnar Tørnquist, game director of the upcoming MMORPG developed by Funcom and published by Electronic Arts: The Secret World.

Ragnar shows us a game that looks definitely epic (and it couldn’t be different, with a director sporting such an epic name) and that doesn’t have classes or levels, but lets the player choose his path freely in a modern day world in which everything told by legends about conspiracies, magic, monsters and the occult is actually true.

The game is scheduled for release in April 2012 only on PC, even if Funcom is considering a possible future release on consoles. In the meanwhile you can enjoy the full interview past the cut. There’s a lot of information to chew on, and remember: If you are not Templar, you are not my friend.

Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
